Simply lovely is what most people have to say about Crescent Park.   It is an area that has been growing since the 1920’s offering a wonderful array of classic and stately homes on some of Palo Alto’s prettiest tree lined streets.   Bordered by San Francisquito Creek,  Newell Road, Fulton Street and Channing Avenue, Crescent Park provides easy access to downtown, Hwy 101, the main library, and Eleanor Pardee Park.   Known as a warm and friendly neighborhood, there is an active neighborhood association that keeps neighbors in the loop with an active community forum and information exchange.

There have been 30+ sales to date in Crescent Park in 2011 ranging in price from just under $1,000,000 for a 3936 sq ft lot with a tear down property to a stately Sumner designed home built in 1926 on a 28,000 sq ft lot with a pool and tennis court that sold over $6,000,000.   Nine homes sold under $2,000,000, eight under $3,000,000, six under $4,000,000 and three in the five millions.    The average days on market was 47 and the median price was in the mid $2 millions.   New Crescent Park residents include Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg who purchased in a private sale.  It is expected that the neighborhood’s proximity to Facebook’s new campus will be attractive to a number of new buyers in 2012.

Students in Crescent Park attend Duveneck Elementary, Jordan Middle School and Palo Alto High, all part of the highly rated Palo Alto Unified School District.
